Dream Factory

Dream Factory was started in 1996 by renown DJ/Remixer/Producer, Joe "V-Sound" Vaccaro. It was created to be a creative outlet for Joe's electronic music and film score compositions.

Inspired by the British "New Wave" synth pop movement of the 80's and the ethereal "New Age" sounds of the 90’s, Dream Factory released its debut release, "Beyond Reflection". The songs on "Beyond Reflection" are an exquisite blend of techno, new age and pop dance influences. The CD contained 14 tracks recorded between May 1997 and May 1998. The debut album, "Beyond Reflection" was released in May 1998 through V-Sound Productions.

All tracks were produced, mixed and composed by Joe Vaccaro for his record label, V-Sound Productions. "Beyond Reflection" was recorded and mastered at Syntopian Studios (formerly Joey’s Jam Central), Joe Vaccaro’s state-of-the-art recording facility in Tucson, Arizona. The cover artwork for "Beyond Reflection" was done by renown 3D web artist, Mike Bonnell. Bonnell’s cover piece entitled "Simplicity" eloquently conveys Dream Factory’s simple, memorable melodies and lush, masterful music arrangements.

Joe’s pursuit of music started at the age of 12, when he began remixing popular songs. Shortly after, he began to DJ parties with a small PA system that his father helped him purchase. From this came Powerhouse Productions, a mobile entertainment company he started when he was 17. Joe performed disc jockey work through Powerhouse Productions as well as other companies. He then landed a job as an intern doing public relations/advertising work for Cloud 95/Power 1490 Radio in Tucson, Arizona. During his 20 months there, Joe worked as an air personality and production assistant in addition to his public relations duties. In 1995, Joe began focusing his efforts on composing and producing his own material. In 1997, he closed Powerhouse Productions to form the independent record label called V-Sound Productions. From this stemmed the recording facility, Syntopian Studios and the musical entity, Dream Factory.

Following the success of their debut CD release “Beyond Reflection”, Dream Factory releases their follow up CD entitled “Electric Dreams” in September 1999. Based on recording sessions made between June 1998 and September 1999. Both "Beyond Reflection" and "Electric Dreams" went on to critical success and included numerous Top 10 Electronic chart internet downloads.

In 2001, Joe began focusing on remixing, production and commercial film & TV work. He went on to create hundreds of remixes and DJ edits for major artists including (but not limited to): Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Jay-Z and many others. He was a remixer, producer and programmer for Select Mix and Hot Tracks from 2008-2011. In 2011, he started his own remix service called V-Sound Remix.

In April 2022, Dream Factory's third album "Entranced" was released. It contains 5 new tracks and is the first Dream Factory release in 23 years. The album artwork was designed by Mike Bonnell, who designed the artwork for "Beyond Reflection". 

In February 2023, Dream Factory's fourth album, "Starlight" was released. It incorporates the classic piano, strings, lush pads and classic synthesizer sounds for which Dream Factory is famous with ethereal vocals and downtempo beats for a relaxing chill out sound.

In February 2024, Dream Factory's fifth album, "Hypnotic" was released. "Hypnotic" is the second chapter in a series of Dream Factory albums in the chill out/downtempo style. As with "Starlight", it continues the classic piano, strings, lush pads and classic synthesizer sounds for which Dream Factory is famous and combines it with ethereal vocals and downtempo beats for a relaxing chill out sound.

In June 2024, Dream Factory's sixth album, "Supernature" was released. "Supernature" is the third chapter in a series of Dream Factory albums in the chill out/downtempo style. As with "Starlight" & "Hypnotic", it continues the classic piano, strings, lush pads and classic synthesizer sounds for which Dream Factory is famous and combines it with ethereal vocals and downtempo beats for a relaxing chill out sound. "Supernature" is the starts the transition of moving Dream Factory into new directions into ambient and cinematic music.

In November 2024, Dream Factory's seventh album, "Oceanic" was released. "Oceanic" is the fourth chapter in a series of Dream Factory albums in the chill out/downtempo style. As with "Starlight"  "Hypnotic" & "Supernature", "Oceanic" continues the classic piano, strings, lush pads and classic synthesizer sounds for which Dream Factory is famous and combines it with ethereal vocals and downtempo beats for a relaxing chill out sound. "Oceanic" is the final chapter (for now) of the "Chillogy". 

In 2025, Dream Factory will be moving into new directions into ambient and cinematic music. Joe will also be in the studio working on new projects outside of Dream Factory and Noxious9.
